The race between smartphone manufacturers is on. Bigger screens, more powerful processors, camera improvements, you call it. However, little they have done to improve battery life.
StoreDot is an Israeli company who innovates products and makes them more effective by changing their design and chemical compounds. They have come up with a new kind of battery that uses a different chemical compound than normal lithium-ion batteries. The result is outstanding, StoreDot’s smartphone battery charges from 15% to 100% in under 2 minutes.
During the past Mobile World Congress in Barcelona, CNET got to see this amazing technology as a modified Samsung Galaxy S5 charged completely in a few seconds.
StoreDot’s future looks promising, they have been working in the same kind of technology but for electric cars. Charging an electric car battery in under 5 minutes isn’t a crazy thought anymore.
